Jubilate Deo

Zelenka, Leclair, Delalande, Mondonville

20. 9. 2026 | 18:00

Basilica of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, Frýdek-Místek

The concert of Collegium Marianum, led by Jana Semerádová, will bring a festive French-Czech Baroque programme entitled Jubilate Deo to the Basilica of Frýdek-Místek. The central works of the evening will be sacred compositions by Jan Dismas Zelenka – the joyful and energetic Lauda Jerusalem and the radiant Magnificat – featuring Pavla Radostová and Vojtěch Semerád as soloists. In contrast to Zelenka’s dramatic spirituality, the grandeur of the French style will be heard in Mondonville’s monumental Grand motet “Coeli enarrant gloriam Dei”, performed with a distinguished group of soloists including Helena Hozová, Anna Moriová and Tomáš Šelc, as well as Delalande’s orchestral Grande pièce royale, composed for the court festivities of Louis XIV. The programme will be enriched by Jean-Marie Leclair’s virtuosic Flute Concerto in C major, performed by Jana Semerádová. The combination of outstanding vocal soloists, a stylistically informed orchestra and the resonant acoustics of the basilica will create a truly festive conclusion to the festival season.
