Lenka Hlávková, PhD. (17 August 1974 – 21 December 2023), Director of the Institute of Musicology at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague, was a prominent personality of Czech musicology, an outstanding scientist and teacher, whose research achievements are of world significance. She has initiated countless projects in the field of mediaeval and renaissance music, some of which have been performed at the concerts of Baroque Soirées and IMF Summer Festivities of Early Music. Lenka Hlávková is one of the victims of the tragic event at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague. We were all deeply affected by her death. Our only hope is Lenka's rich legacy, the most beautiful of which was her life filled with love and joy.
